My name is Eoin Cleary, I'm a 22 year old guitarist from Omagh Northern Ireland. I've been playing guitar for about 13 years, starting off first in classical (getting up to grade five) and then just learning independently afterwards, mostly within Rock (Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Elbow) but occassionally folk (Nick Drake, Simon And Garfunkle) and pop covers (All The Single Ladies, Bones Of You etc. My plans are unsure atm, looking for work, but would love to be in an original band. I am very capable of writing chord sequences and hooks but would be interested in finding a lyricist to creat original material.

I've just come out of a covers band which wasn't working for me, and along with one of the guitarists from it, we've decided to form our own band. In the meantime we're doing acoustic sets. So at the moment we have vocals and guitar (not forgetting the trusted tambourine), but are looking for a drummer and a bass player with maybe keys thrown in for good measure. Want to play a variety of covers from the 60's right through to now (he's an angry student and I'm a little mod), so the kind of numbers that will get people off their arses and up dancing (or singing at the very least), so have a semblence of a set list thrown together, but nothing is set in stone as yet, want to get others involved and then go forward as a collective. We're Reading based, both in our 40's, don't take ourselves too seriously and have day jobs so this is for fun and the love of music. we are a Nu Metal band looking for an experienced drummer who is in the age region of 17-20 with ideas and confidence to give ideas. They need commitment and good time keeping, they will also need their own kit and must provide transport for their kit. Dedication is needed also. We've been going for nearly 2 years now, and have had various people come and go as a result of out of band--related issues (eg, Uni, Work, etc.) We've finally settled down with our current line-up, and we're lacking in one of the most fundemental areas, the drums. We write all of our own music, and everyone gets an input and equal share (as should be the case with all bands). We have 6 songs underway and several more in the works. We have no set sound (albeit with clean vocals), and our influences are mixed, with various bands such as Chimaira, Killswitch Engage, Incubus, RCHP, Iron Maiden, etc. On top of all of this we have some rather fantastic opportunities coming up, including radio and magazine interviews, and a UK tour next year.

Main influences include AC/DC, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Stevie Ray Vaughan etc. Anything 60's/70's/80's mainly, but anything more recent is fine. I have experience gigging with other bands and filling in for bands who need replacements on short notice. Also I don't mind becoming part of a function band if there are any looking for a guitarist.
